ARMY 2020: Нow has RecFaces surprised the participants and guests of the forum?

August was marked by one of the largest events of the year: the 6th edition of International Military-Technical Forum “ARMY-2020”, in which RecFaces participated for the first time. The event annually gathers more than 1500 foreign and Russian professionals in the field of armaments, as well as those interested in high-technology developments for the domestic military-industrial sector.
In the forum, RecFaces has announced its new development, the integration module for thermal imaging ASTROHN-TT2019 based on the biometric solution Id-Guard. This model of thermal imaging recorder has been designed to automate contactless detection of people with elevated body temperature at checkpoints and gates. Furthermore, the thermal imaging is now equipped with such functions as recognition and verification of people. The system allows one to confirm the identity of a person standing in front of the thermal imaging camera, even if there is no his/her biometric profile in the database. Id-Guard determines the person’s membership in the lists of employees/visitors/wanted persons, builds a map of movement, sends the system operator prompt notification about emergencies. It is important to underline that such functionality will not only control people passing through checkpoints and measure their temperature, but also identify them and, most importantly, promptly investigate incidents in the enterprise in case of facility access rules violations.
Now the new development can solve such crucial tasks as collection, processing, and accumulation of statistical data on all people passing through the ASTROHN thermal imaging camera. The accumulated data allows one to keep temperature records for each person, with a personal link to the biological template. Which is primarily essential to support an effective response to COVID-19.
RecFaces and ASTROHN Technology Ltd have already assessed the possibility of implementing the joint project and its further development prospects. The second stage of the project may result in additional integration with ACS (from different developers).
During the forum, the companies signed a memorandum of strategic partnership, which gave both parties new opportunities for sales development in Russia and CIS countries.
ASTROHN Technology Ltd is one of the largest companies carrying out researches and developments of thermal and terahertz optics, detectors, and devices based on them.
