RecFaces Upgrades Id-Time: Biometric Time and Attendance for Enterprise Workforce Management

RecFaces Upgrades Id-Time Biometric Attendance Software

RecFaces, a global developer of enterprise-grade facial biometric software, has released a major update to Id-Time, its biometric time and attendance software for workforce management and facility visibility.

The update is aimed at enterprises in the food, metallurgical, oil and gas, smart office, and other sectors that operate distributed, shift-based facilities with high employee and visitor flow. Id-Time now combines a built-in biometric time and attendance module, real-time facility monitoring, flexible reporting, and visitor flow analytics in a single platform, giving HR teams, security departments, and facility managers a consolidated view of workforce attendance and site activity without relying on fragmented systems or manual reporting.

Built-In Biometric Time and Attendance Management

At the center of the enhancement is a complete biometric time and attendance module now built directly into Id-Time. Organizations can manage planned schedules, timesheets, attendance reports, overtime, undertime, breaks, violations, absences, and automatic notifications from a single interface. This gives HR teams, security departments, facility managers, and executives a complete view of employee attendance and workforce discipline, replacing fragmented systems and manual reporting.

The update also expands employee profile management. Administrators can manage employee photos, departments, positions, profile types, vacations, sick leave, and attendance policies across departments, cities, countries, and distributed organizational structures.

Facial Recognition Accuracy Ranked Top 5 Globally by NIST

Id-Time is now powered by an upgraded version of a facial recognition algorithm ranked among the Top 5 globally by NIST. The latest version improves identification accuracy and consistency in demanding real-world conditions, including poor lighting, high people flow, and partial face visibility — conditions common on industrial sites and high-traffic facilities.

Real-Time Facility Monitoring for HR and Security Teams

The new Id-Time introduces real-time monitoring and analytics of events across a facility. Dedicated dashboards give HR, security, and management teams visibility into system load, terminal status, camera performance, database analytics, and the number of people present on site.

This visibility extends beyond attendance tracking. In an emergency situation, security teams can use Id-Time to check how many people are located in a specific area, supporting evacuation and response procedures with more accurate information.

Flexible Reporting and Visitor Flow Monitoring

The update introduces 8 report types for workforce time management, including:

  • worked time summaries;
  • attendance reports;
  • overtime and undertime;
  • detailed and summary violation reports;
  • visitor reports;
  • presence monitoring.

Reports can be exported in Excel, CSV, and PDF formats for payroll calculation, HR analysis, or integration with external systems via API.

Id-Time can now also count and analyze visitors separately from employees, tracking their time on site, first and last passage, and daily statistics. One-time visits are recorded automatically, and temporary profiles can be deactivated according to schedule — giving organizations a more accurate view of both employee and guest presence.

Built Around Real Customer Needs

At RecFaces, we always build our products around the needs of our clients. While working on this Id-Time update, we analyzed customer requests, market expectations, competitor capabilities, and real user experience, and brought all of this into one product vision. As a result, we created a solution that helps businesses save time, reduce costs, and clearly see what is happening at their facilities. This release is not only about new functionality — it is about making biometric workforce management more practical, flexible, and valuable for everyday operations. We will continue collecting user feedback, improving the product, providing human technical support, and releasing updates based on real business needs.

Infrastructure Improvements for Distributed and Enterprise Deployments

For enterprise and distributed deployments, RecFaces has introduced several infrastructure improvements. Id-Time now supports Debian GNU/Linux 13.5 “Trixie”, expanding the choice of Linux server environments available for corporate deployments.

A new offline mode for trackers — the video preprocessing servers used within the system — helps maintain operations when connectivity with the central Id-Time core is temporarily unavailable. Identification events are processed and stored locally, then automatically synchronized with the central server once the connection is restored. This is particularly relevant for geographically distributed facilities, including remote oil and gas sites and multi-location manufacturing operations.

The notification system has also been enhanced, with new Email and Webhook mechanisms supporting configurable templates for access events, workforce discipline, system monitoring, password recovery, compromise alerts, and SMTP checks.

A Redesigned Interface for Everyday Administration

Alongside the new workforce and infrastructure capabilities, RecFaces has redesigned several elements of the Id-Time interface. Updated navigation, compact table mode, optimized filtering, hotkeys, favorites, an improved dark theme, streamlined Email and Webhook settings, and CSV import improvements are intended to make everyday administration faster for administrators, managers, HR specialists, and security teams. A more intuitive organizational hierarchy view further simplifies managing distributed departments, cities, and countries within a single Id-Time deployment.

Practical Value for Food, Metallurgical, Oil and Gas, and Smart Office Operations

Enterprises in the food, metallurgical, oil and gas, and smart office sectors often operate shift-based schedules, multiple sites, and high volumes of employees, contractors, and visitors. Id-Time‘s offline mode supports facilities with limited or unstable connectivity, a common condition at remote oil and gas and metallurgical sites. Its support for multiple departments, cities, and countries within one organizational structure fits companies managing distributed operations. Combined with visitor flow monitoring and payroll-ready reporting, the update gives HR, operations, and security teams in these sectors a more consolidated way to track workforce attendance and facility activity without relying on manual processes.

For organizations working with contractors, Id-Time can track each profile individually for total hours on site, headcount, and attendance violations such as unexcused absences or late arrivals, giving operations and procurement teams a way to verify that contracted personnel are meeting agreed work terms.

FAQ

What does the Id-Time update include?

The update adds a built-in biometric time and attendance module, real-time facility monitoring dashboards, more than 10 report types, visitor flow monitoring, an upgraded facial recognition algorithm, a redesigned interface, and infrastructure improvements including offline mode and Debian GNU/Linux 13.5 support. It is designed for organizations with distributed sites, shift-based schedules, and high people flow.

How accurate is Id-Time's facial recognition?

Id-Time is powered by a facial recognition algorithm ranked among the Top 5 globally by NIST. The latest version improves identification accuracy and consistency in demanding conditions, including poor lighting, high people flow, and partial face visibility, supporting reliable recognition in real-world enterprise environments.

Can Id-Time work if a facility loses its internet connection?

Yes. The new offline mode allows trackers — Id-Time's video preprocessing servers — to keep processing and storing identification events locally when connection to the central core is temporarily lost. Once connectivity is restored, the data automatically synchronizes with the central server.

What kind of reports does Id-Time generate?

Id-Time provides more than 10 report types, including worked time summaries, attendance reports, overtime and undertime reports, violation reports, visitor reports, and presence monitoring. Reports export in Excel, CSV, and PDF formats and can integrate with external systems, including payroll, via API.

Does Id-Time track visitors as well as employees?

Yes. Id-Time now monitors visitor flow separately from employee attendance, recording time on site, first and last passage, and daily statistics. One-time visits are logged automatically, and temporary visitor profiles can be deactivated on a defined schedule.
